Gabriela Hearst's latest collection for Chlo&eacute; is a not-so-subtle nod at fusion energy's sustainable implications for the fashion industry.

At its core, <a href="https://www.lofficielmalaysia.com/fashion/gabriela-hearst-revives-the-chloe-iconic-bag">Gabriela Hearst's</a> regime at <a href="https://www.lofficielmalaysia.com/fashion/the-kattie-bag-by-chloe-anatomy-design-2022">Chlo&eacute;</a> has been marked by technological advancements in making both the Maison and the fashion industry at large more sustainable. Her Spring/Summer 2023 collection is a clear demonstration of that.
Set in a blacked-out Pavilion Vend&ocirc;me, seats were arranged in the shape of a tokamak, a large, round, plasma confinement machine that scientists have suggested can power future fusion power plants.

In attendance were representatives from Iter and Commonwealth Fusion Systems and Helion, two companies currently investing in this new clean energy concept.
While the larger concept of fusion and clean energy was realized within the show as a nightclub-esque aesthetic, the collection stayed closer to Hearst's signature style by leaning on factory workers' uniforms as inspiration for her more elevated garments. She also incorporated metal hardware and, in one case, metallic fabric as well as the tokamak shape as a nod to fusion power plants' future place within the fashion industry.
