Our cover star this month embodies beauty, grace, talent, and everything in between &mdash; what more could you ask for?

Mimi Lana is someone we&rsquo;ve long had our eyes on. The Malaysian actress and model has had a steady, quietly assured rise since entering the industry over a decade ago, building a career defined not by noise, but by consistency and intention.
Now at 30, she enters a new phase of momentum. With her own beauty venture, Mims, gaining traction, a web series&nbsp;Hening Cinta currently airing, and a horror film, Polong, slated for release end of May (alongside two more projects already in production), 2026 is shaping up to be a dynamic year.&nbsp;

Fresh off Raya celebrations and in between a packed filming schedule, we caught up with Mimi for this month&rsquo;s cover shoot. Poised yet personable, she opens up about navigating love and loss, taking on new roles both on and off set, and defining her own sense of style in the process.

Hi Mimi! How were your Raya celebrations this year? My Raya celebrations this year felt a bit different because I just lost my eldest brother. But I feel blessed &mdash; I think God has given me so much, even though He took my brother this year. Everything was okay, just a little bit sad.
You&rsquo;ve been married for slightly over a year now. How has this new chapter been for you, and what&rsquo;s been the biggest change so far? Married life has been so, so amazing&hellip;it&rsquo;s so much better. Before this, I was usually on my own, but now I have responsibilities as a wife, especially during Ramadan last month. The biggest change is in decision-making. Before, I made decisions for myself, but now I have someone else, and we make decisions together. I&rsquo;m really enjoying it, and I&rsquo;m very grateful.

You and your husband, Syafiq Kyle, are both in the same industry. Does that make things easier or more challenging? I think it&rsquo;s easier because we understand each other. We both know how demanding the industry can be &mdash; the long working hours, the nature of filming. So I feel grateful that my husband is also an actor. It really helps that we understand each other&rsquo;s work.
You&rsquo;ve always used your platform to speak up on important issues, from school bullying to exploitations within the entertainment industry. What drives you to be so vocal about these causes? I think it comes from my own experiences in life. Now that I&rsquo;ve been in the industry for over ten years and have my own platform, I feel a responsibility to help people and give back. Since I have followers and a voice, I want to use it to do something meaningful and speak the truth. I think anyone with a platform should try to help others in whatever way they can.

You&rsquo;ve also ventured into entrepreneurship with your hair and body mist brand, Mims. What inspired you to start it, and what&rsquo;s your vision moving forward? I&rsquo;ve always loved perfume &mdash; I really can&rsquo;t live without it. I wanted to start a business, but I wasn&rsquo;t sure what to do. Then I thought about something I personally use every day. I wanted to create something practical and useful, so I came up with a hair and body mist &mdash; something two-in-one and suitable for everyone. Before this, I also sold hair oil, so I wanted to find a solution that works better for people. That&rsquo;s how I created my own hair and body mist.
In your latest drama Hening Cinta, you play a nurse. Can you tell us more about your character and what drew you to the role? It&rsquo;s been a while since I did a TV drama, so I felt it was about time. Every Ramadan, I like to be part of something meaningful. I chose this story because it&rsquo;s a love story, and it feels different from what we usually see now. A lot of dramas today focus on conflict, but this one is about love. I want to remind people that even though there&rsquo;s a lot of negativity in the world, love still exists, and we should spread more of it.

If you weren&rsquo;t an actress, what do you think you would be doing today? I think I would be a writer. I&rsquo;m quite an introverted person, and I usually express myself through writing. So if I wasn&rsquo;t acting, I&rsquo;d probably be a writer.
What does your perfect day off look like? Jeans, a T-shirt and a cap. That&rsquo;s it. I usually stay at home because I spend so much time working. I really enjoy being at home, relaxing, watching dramas or movies, and just taking time for myself.

What&rsquo;s one thing you wish people knew about the real Mimi Lana? I&rsquo;m actually a very shy person. Sometimes people think I look fierce, especially if they don&rsquo;t know me, but I&rsquo;m really not. I can be quite quiet and reserved &mdash; I just come across differently.
As a shy person, how does acting help you express yourself? Acting has always been a way for me to express myself. Since I&rsquo;m naturally introverted, it allows me to explore emotions and express things I might not normally say. It&rsquo;s a way for me to connect with people and understand different perspectives.

Ralph Lauren is known for its classic, preppy elegance. How do you see that reflected in your own personal style? Ralph Lauren has a special place in my heart because I grew up wearing the brand. I think it&rsquo;s very versatile. you can wear it casually or dress it up, and it always makes you look clean and elegant.
What can we expect from you for the rest of 2026? There are more films coming out, and hopefully more projects to shoot. I&rsquo;m also exploring writing and possibly producing something of my own in the future.
