Dior showcases the expertise behind some of the most enchanting gowns from the brand's Spring/Summer 2021 Haute Couture collection.

The mystery that surrounds a Dior couture creation rests on the legacy of deep knowledge of savoir-faire. Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri developed a series of ensembles that reflect Monsieur Dior&#39;s passion for tarot reading, taking to the seventh art with director Mateo Garrone a captivating film delivery of illusions and riddles. Through exquisite brocades, hand-dyed garments, and miniscule embroidery, the House of Dior reaffirms itself as a giant of the Haute Couture world. The Protagonist

The specialist Jean-Pierre Ollier was recruited by Maria Grazia Chiuri to recreate a magnificent d&eacute;coupage technique from the 18th century for &quot;The Protagonist&quot; gown. Known as lacca povera, this particular method uses silk-screened motifs, which are later made by hand.

This captivating procedure contrasts various painted and embroidered elements on lace and then assembles them impeccably, without following any traditional sewing method.

Miss Dior

Atelier Paloma, a French textile artist, was chosen to revive the legendary &quot;Miss Dior&quot; dress, using a new silhouette adorned with a lam&eacute; fabric in a matte gold hue. Roller-aged and adorned with carefully embroidered and gathered flower applications, this dress stands out from the collection as a true emblem of artisanal skill.
