Following its debut in New York, Chanel's Métiers d'Art repeat show arrived at Centre Pompidou Hanwha Seoul.<o:p></o:p>

After captivating audiences with its debut in a New York subway station last December, Matthieu Blazy's inaugural Métiers d'Art collection continued its journey to Seoul recently, taking over Centre Pompidou Hanwha Seoul, a newly opened space where art, culture, and creativity converge. A short film featuring model Hyunji Shin and brand ambassador Bhavitha Mandava walking into the museum, a visual continuation of the collection's metropolitan narrative that mirrored the opening of the New York presentation marked as the prelude to the show, the film seamlessly connected the two cities through a shared story.<o:p></o:p>

Unlike the cinematic atmosphere of its New York subway show, the Seoul presentation offered a fresh perspective on the collection. Rooted in the idea of eclectic personalities crossing paths in a city, the Métiers d'Art collection took on a more intimate expression within the minimalist interiors of Centre Pompidou Hanwha Seoul. Surrounded by works from renowned artists, the fluid layering, vibrant silhouettes, and rich interplay of prints and textures felt more grounded, creating a dialogue between fashion, art, and movement.<o:p></o:p>

The Maison's signature codes were reinterpreted through Matthieu Blazy's contemporary lens, offering fresh takes on the iconic tweed suit, two-tone shoes, pearls, and camellias. Exceptional craftsmanship lay at the heart of the collection, with intricate embroideries by Lesage and Atelier Montex, signature tweeds by Lesage, delicate floral creations by Lemarié, sculptural costume jewellery by Goossens, elegant fascinators by Maison Michel, and the House's iconic slingbacks crafted by Massaro, all created by the artisans of le19M in Paris. Balancing heritage with reinvention, the collection remained unmistakably Chanel while embracing Blazy's subtly offbeat perspective, infusing the Maison's enduring signatures with a sense of ease, modernity, and everyday wearability.<o:p></o:p>

The Asia debut drew a star-studded guest list, including Tilda Swinton, Marion Cotillard, Jennie, G-Dragon, and Peggy Gou, among others. The evening unfolded at Dongdaemun Design Plaza, ending on a high note with a performance by Jennie and a DJ set by Peggy Gou.<o:p></o:p>
