Dedicated to explore the extraordinary savoir-faire of Italian artisanship and techniques of Maison Valentino, the “Mastery Tales” series has entered its fourth chapter to unfold every detail of the Atelier Rose Blossom caban.
More than just embodiment of the Maison's couture legacy, the Atelier Rose Blossom caban first debuted on the runway of Valentino Roman Palazzo Fall 2021 show bridges the division between couture and our modern, everyday wardrobe.
The roses on the Valentino Haute Couture Flamingo dress from 1959 bloom on the ready-to-wear design in the same shade of red. To create the tone-on-tone rose embroideries, the artisan at the atelier employs a specific twisting movement that molds the textile into the multi-layered petals. The entirely hand-made method tells the story of Valentino’s sartorial ability and the preservation of its couture heritage.
