Riccardo Tisci shows us the best is yet to come as he is set to debut his first for Burberry.
Ever since the revealing of the 'Classic B' campaign in May, Riccardo Tisci has remained silent on his new post as Burberry's Chief Creative Officer.
And now, he has caused a whirlwind of buzz by announcing the collaboration of Burberry and the British punk fixture Vivienne Westwood, launching this December!
We're not the only one that thrilled by this surprise, the designer himself also expressed his excitement and admiration for Vivienne in his announcement:
'Vivienne was one of the first designers who made me dream to become a designer...I am so honoured to announce a new Burbs collaboration with the original British PUNK.'
The big announcement of this collaboration between two British iconic fashion house is also the prologue of a new strategy of Burberry.
Two years after its operation of 'see now buy now', Burberry will be adopting the Supreme and Moncler-like delivery style, set to sustain customer's attention and anticipation with a 'more frequent, smaller deliveries'.
According to CEO Marco Gobbetti, Riccardo Tisci will curate the dropping of each limited edition, capsule or designers collaboration collections along with the releasing of main runway collection.
