Coach has just named Kiko Mizuhara as its new ambassador, making the model-slash-actress the first Japanese face of the luxury leather goods brand.

With her recognisable bob, pixie-like features and distinctive style that mixes girly miniskirts and dresses with 90's athleisure staples, Kiko has been a fixture of Tokyo's fashion scene for quite a while now. It was only a matter of time before the 27-year-old brought her status to an international level.

“I am so excited to join the Coach family. I love the cool, optimistic spirit of the brand and cannot wait for my fans to connect with Coach in a more intimate way through our partnership.”

To celebrate the announcement, Coach has launched a limited edition Signature Charlie bag specially customized by Kiko using the Coach Create personalization service.

Inspired by the galaxy, Kiko's design of the Charlie Carryall features leather tea roses and semi-precious stones around a moon souvenir pin. The bag will be available in select Coach stores in Japan for a limited time.

That's not all: Kiko's new partnership with Coach will also include a special project with Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers that has yet to be revealed.

The model is also slated to front the brand's upcoming Fall 2018 campaign next month.
