Hot off her Cannes debut, we take a look at IU's illustrious years with Gucci where she worked with the brand for fashion, beauty, music and more.

On May 30, Gucci's instagram account uploaded a picture of IU (<a href="instagram.com/dlwlrma">@dlwlrma</a>) wearing an outfit from the brand at the 75th Cannes Film Festival, along with a caption that announced IU as the Global Brand Ambassador.&nbsp;
This news made fans extremely surprised and excited as IU has been a regular fixture for Gucci's special projects including the <a href="https://elle.com.sg/2020/05/14/exo-kai-iu-gucci-new-art-exhibition-seoul/">No Space, Just A Place exhibition in Seoul</a>. Previously, IU was also present in the coastal city of French Riviera, France, in a gorgeous and solemn light blue dress with delicate floral details, to attend the 2022 Cannes Film Festival during the Palme d'Or awards ceremony.

IU is one of the most successful solo artists in Korea, making her debut in 2007 at a very young age as a singer, songwriter and producer. Her first mini album "Lost and Found" received attention and recognition from the audience at that time thanks to her powerful, pure and sweet voice. In 2010, she topped the music charts with "Good day" helped her bring success and fame in her singing career. Since then, the title "Nation's Little Sister" has been favored by K-pop audiences for this multi-talented girl.
IU continued to release more albums and songs that topped the charts in both domestic and international music arena. Besides, the female singer also proved her talent through successful roles in many films such as "Dream High", "The Producers", "Moon Lovers" and recently "Hotel del Luna". The latest project "Broker" with the participation of IU has recently been selected as the film representing Korea to compete at Cannes.

On 30th May 2022, the 29-year-old singer quickly marked the most impressive milestone in her journey to fashion when she signed a contract with the Gucci fashion house and became a Global Brand Ambassador.
Previously, IU also had the opportunity to work with brands in various fields such as Sony Korea, New Balance shoe company, Le Coq Sportif, G by GUESS and Samsung.

In February 2020, Gucci confirmed IU as the Brand Ambassador in Korea by posting information that IU will attend the launch of the Fall/Winter 2020 Collection. Since then, she has been working productively in the fashion and beauty sectors with Gucci, appearing in projects and red carpets with gorgeous outfits from the brand.
She has also seen wearing Gucci outfits in her recent music videos including "eight", which features BTS's Suga.

2021 was promising year for IU where she participated in Gucci Beloved, the advertising campaign of four signature Gucci bag lines. Right after that is the perfect combination from IU and Kai - Gucci's global brand ambassador, in the Gucci Aria campaign.
IU also participated in Gucci's 100th anniversary at the Gucci Garden Archetypes exhibition, Seoul - a lively experience that explores and celebrates the image, vision and heritage of Gucci. trademark.
From all these, IU has proven her values in innovative and creative thinking constantly through her art, music and fashion products to the Italian fashion house.
