Glenn Martens debuted his first collection as the creative director of Diesel.

A new chapter of Diesel begins with the debut of the new creative director Glenn Martens. A short film developed by artist and director Frank Lebon unveils the brand&#39;s Spring/Summer 2022 co-ed collection during Milan Fashion Week. Scored by composer and musician Leon Vynehall, the short film evolves in a familiar environment characterized by a distorted style&mdash;a dialogue between reality and dream.

The tradition of the Italian brand led by Renzo Rosso blends with the aesthetics and stylistic codes of Martens. The central focus of the new collection is experimentation: of constructions, materials, patterns, draperies, pictorial motifs, and upcycling techniques.

&quot;The great task and the reward in Diesel is to create garments that have a certain universality and at the same time maintain the irreverent spirit of the brand. I think many from the outside could say that my work is more related to the concept, and that in Diesel I appreciated to truly merge, in a certain way, accessibility with art. Denim, which has always played a fundamental role in Diesel&#39;s heritage, is proposed in a galvanizing manner for the male and female wardrobe with an all-gender approach. New shapes, ingenious processes, finishing, and washing demonstrate the constant research of the Italian brand.

The collection, &quot;Denim Library,&quot; presents a new Diesel series of sustainable garments designed to survive the laws of time. A carry-over line consisting of shirts, t-shirts, skirts, and trousers marries the brand&#39;s ideals&mdash;respect for the environment, the Diesel history, and the passion for constant progress.
