L'Officiel Malaysia caught up with&nbsp;Guerlain's&nbsp;Spas &amp; Institutes Training &amp; Quality Director SandrineSilvestre&nbsp;to learn more about the French house's newest Orchid&eacute;e Imp&eacute;riale cream.&nbsp;

Congrats on the launch of the fifth generation Orchid&eacute;e Imp&eacute;riale cream! Can you briefly run us through what's new about this reinvented formula?
In 2022, Orchid&eacute;e Imp&eacute;riale has been reinvented in a new high-end beauty cream in which the orchid's genius, transcended by science, captures a new secret of longevity for skin: infinite longevity.&nbsp;This new fifth&nbsp;generation Orchid&eacute;e Imp&eacute;riale cream features:
<ul>
 <li>A new duo of orchids: the Gastrodia Elata and the Dendrobium Fimbriatum.</li>
</ul>
Gastrodia elata stimulates the survival protein HIF-I to help to regulate cell respiration and fight cell hypoxia. Dendrobium fimbriatum takes over after the cell has regained its breath by activating a longevity enzyme (PHDS) at the root of skin's youth. This enzyme is able to strengthen the skin's essential rejuvenating functions over the long term.

How would you recommend incorporating the cream into an existing skincare routine?
I recommend adapting the texture depending on the season and the skin needs. Apply the cream in the morning and the evening after the 01 serum.

What are the steps involved in the Orchid&eacute;e Imp&eacute;riale prestige treatment at the Guerlain spa?
This global anti-ageing treatment offers visible and long-lasting action on all the signs of ageing: skin density, firmness, hydration, wrinkles, and radiance on the face the eye contour, the neck, the d&eacute;collet&eacute; and the hands.
It promotes a sensual and poly-sensorial holistic experience with facial exercises and customized coaching. It starts with a Prestige cleansing ritual using "Kabuki" brushes specifically developed by Guerlain. Extremely generous, almost decadent, with the use of the full Orchid&eacute;e Imp&eacute;riale skincare range and the application of the two Orchid&eacute;e Imp&eacute;riale masks +40 minutes of Guerlain's face method massage. Complimentary face waxing and moisturizing paraffin hand wrap for soft and repaired hands + Scalp, half-legs, hand, and foot massages.

Do you have any application tips to enhance the effects of the skincare products we use?

 <li>Sit down in front of a mirror, take 3 long breaths, adjust your posture, shoulders down, chin up.</li>
 <li>Enjoy the fragrance of your cream and warm up a small quantity by rubbing your hands together apply with upward lifting movement, symmetrically starting from the chin to the ears, the cheeks to the temples, the eyebrows to the hair line. Finish by the neck &amp; the d&eacute;collet&eacute;. Cold hands in the morning to tighten the blood vessels and tonifying effect.&nbsp;</li>
 <li>Take your time in the evening for 1 to 2 minutes of self-massage to stimulate the blood &amp; lymph flow and firm and tone the skin muscles.</li>
</ul>

What are some of the myths about anti-ageing skincare that you want to debunk?
<ul>
 <li>No need to apply double quantity to obtain double result. Choose the right texture with the quantity corresponding to your skin needs.</li>
 <li>To apply a night cream is more efficient than the day cream: one's skin is constantly regenerating, Most important is to apply an UV protection on the top of one's day cream.</li>
</ul>

What is your advice for younger clients who are looking to maintain healthy, youthful skin and "slow down" the trace&nbsp;of time on skin?
There are 3 majors tips:

 <li>Thorough cleansing daily + moisturizing</li>
 <li>Sun UV protection daily + 1 gentle scrub week</li>
 <li>What is good for you is good for your skin such as: rest, meditation, joy, healthy food</li>
