Embracing cruelty-free and sourcing from all-natural ingredients, "halal beauty" is definitely something that worth to explore regardless of religion!

More than just beauty products that are allowed under Islamic law, "halal beauty" is the new buzz in beauty industry because of its cruelty-free (means no lives were harmed during the production) and the use of natural ingredient.

With the rising of halal beauty brands from all over the world including FX Cosmetics (UK) and Talent Cosmetic (South Korea), Malaysia is definitely one of the countries that has the best halal beauty brands.

And here's five we are obsessed with now:

dUCk Cosmetics

Founded by Vivy Yusof, dUCk Cosmetic is the expansion from her other successful homegrown label dUCk Scarves and it is also one of the first homegrown brands to be shelved in Sephora.

dUCk Cosmetics features a complete range of 100% halal cosmetics, including makeup remover, eye palettes, lip cream, lip gloss and lipstick. Plus, all products are also paraben-free!

Dida For Women

Tengku Chanela Jamidah and Didie Nasir came together for Dida For Women, the two conceived the idea 'by women for women' – offering not only beauty products but also delivering confidence and power to Malaysian ladies.

From velvet matte lip creme to creme liquid lipstick and matte lip glide, Dida For Women is widely known for its lip products, which rival foreign brands, with a more affordable price.

Together with dUCk Cosmetic, Prettysuci is the other the first authenticated halal and 100% Malaysian-made cosmetic label to join the partnership with Sephora earlier this May and even launched an exclusive range for the beauty chain.

Prettysuci is also Malaysia's first halal beauty online portal that assembles halal cosmetic brands from all over the globe, including its own brand.

To this day, it has been carrying more than 30 different brands on the website.

So.Lek is one of a few cosmetics in Malaysia that is wudhu-friendly and it comes with a range of makeup essentials and nail polish.
