From a design point of view, that elevates the platform into the realm of consumer electronics rather than legacy smoking device. Ploom AURA is not just about the device, it is matched to the new EVO range of heated- tobacco sticks, developed to work in tandem with the heating profile, stick geometry, and airflow architecture. The stick design, from tobacco leaf cut to capsule integration is aligned to the heating method, ensuring the device and material work as a system. While less publicly detailed, the shift in design implies improved airflow pathing, less ash-like residue, and better taste consistency. The spec sheet emphasises suppression of burnt- taste-off notes via precision heating.

For decades, smoking accessories were designed to telegraph identity, sleek metal lighters, engraved cases, chrome accents. Heated tobacco disrupted that iconography by introducing something more akin to personal electronics, but even then, the category leaned toward novelty.
