Guuci’s home décor line unveils objects of desire inspired by Musei Capitolini in Rome, where the house delivered its Cruise 2020 collection.
Themed Souvenir from Rome, the 2020 collection holds dear to the eclectic spirit of Gucci that is evident in the exuberant combination of colours, design and pattern.
We see the references of medieval artefacts and marble ornaments in the galleries of the Musei Capitolini married with Gucci’s iconic motifs of floral and creatures. Marbling is at the heart of this launch, where the marbling pattern is first hand-painted and then conjured onto a line-up of candleholder, ashtrays, plates - made of the Richard Ginori porcelain.
Another highlight of this collection is the return of Gucci’s Star Eye motif. The black and white print is reimagined and enriched by integrating a dazzling rainbow emanating from the Eye, which is surrounded by colourful stars for a porcelain ashtray and finished with black snake handles for the porcelain mugs.
