It was needless to say that the Dior "Tiepolo" Ball was a star-studded event indeed with dozens of the biggest stars arriving in Venice for the affair including Karlie Kloss, Tilda Swinton, Sienna Miller and more!
Timed to coincide with the Venice Biennale, the charity dinner and ball-with proceeds going to the restoration and promotion of Venice’s cultural heritage; which brought back to life the lavish spirit of the iconic “Ball of the Century” held by Charles de Beistegui in this exact location of the Palazzo Labia in 1951.
Back in the day, Christian Dior and Salvador Dalí were among guests invited to this ball, and together, they designed the costumes for this festivity. Reviving the splendour of this grand and unique event, Maria Grazia Chiuri created a couple of select, exclusive designs in collaboration with two Venetian Houses of great renown: Bevilacqua and Rubelli, for personalities and friends of Dior.
Model Karlie Kloss wore a Dior Haute Couture strapless dress in fioroni velvet, handwoven by Bevilacqua, a pleated tulle skirt with velvet applique and a black velvet cape. She accessorized with Archi Dior earrings in white gold and diamonds, and a Bar en Corolle ring in white gold and diamonds from Dior Joaillerie.
Actress Sienna Miller wore a Dior Haute Couture strapless bustier dress in velvet, handwoven by Bevilacqua, a pleated tulle skirt with velvet applications, and completed her look with a warm grey taffeta cape.
Actress Monica Bellucci wore a Dior Haute Couture strapless dress, boasting a velvet millefiori bustier, a black pleated tulle skirt with a black pleated taffeta cape, completing her look for the evening with a Dior burgundy satin evening clutch.
Amira Casar wore a Dior Haute Couture black wool cadi smoking with satin revers and belt, a white silk organza shirt with pleated collar and a black silk pleated taffeta cape.
Ellen Von Unwerth wore a Dior Haute Couture gold smoking with black contrasted revers and a black organza knot.
