Following on the extremely successful New Classics line-up, Louis Vuitton has unveiled the New Formals collection, a norm defying range which aims at giving traditional businessman style a contemporary twist.
The French luxury brand envisions the needs of a modern gentleman who works at the office or from home, catch up with clients over coffee or reaches out to them from the phone. Reinterpreted into four different designs and sizes, the Louis Vuitton briefcases adds a trendy touch to all business ensembles.
One of the standout pieces is none other than the Soft Trunk Briefcase. Boasting Louis Vuitton’s trunk-making tradition, it features certain iconic codes such as the lozine and metallic finishes. What turns it from being a mere briefcase to an elegant business bag? It’s the removable leather name tag, adjustable shoulder strap and external patch pocket for easy access to documents, we reckon.
There are two versions of the Sac Plat Horizontal Zippé with a zip closure system, which brings to mind the Serviette briefcase. With two narrow top handles and a discreet LV signature, the attractively crafted Ombre Acajou leather version is accompanied with a monogram canvas name tag whereas the Monogram Eclipse model comes with a black leather name tag.
If you’re constantly on the move, you will probably like the ultra-functional Cabas Business bag. Besides the sleek and modern design completed with either a black Taurillon leather or the Monogram Eclipse leather name tag, there are plenty of pockets inside with enough room to hold a laptop.
With inspirations derived from Louis Vuitton’s menswear artistic director Virgil Abloh, the New Formals collection plays on the notion of effortless elegance with fresh materials and colours in order to present a selection of bags which enable easy transition from serious board meetings to business trips from one city to another. While staying true to the spirit of the Maison, the briefcases embrace the ever-changing fashionable style of the contemporary gentlemen.
